Tutoring
I provide in-person and online tutoring to K-5 students using literacy approaches tailored to each learner’s needs. I design custom lessons, visuals and videos to support the students I teach, their families, other educators and tutors. My tutoring services and resources provide clear, practical tools to help you and your students succeed with literacy learning.

Watch a kindergarten student practice the pathway of the letter <a>. The student Writes Out Loud, using language that can also be applied to writing the letter pathways for <u>, <d>, <g>, <o>, <c>, and <qu>. This practice is based on Chancery Script, as it was taught to me by Real Spelling and Rebecca Loveless.
Watch a fourth-grade student engage in Spelling-Out-Orthography—a practice I learned from Dr. Peter Bowers—as she works with words that follow suffixing conventions. Notice how she self-corrects, reflects, and explains her thinking throughout the process.

A student learned that letters are like raw ingredients. When they combine they form structures called graphemes!

Students worked together to construct a word web from the base <mark>.
